Bucket #7 - General Education Core Electives Approved by Institution

The Kansas Systemwide General Education Core allows for flexibility of each institution to define requirements for this area to account for societal issues, local needs, and institutional priorities. Cowley College has determined that students may meet the 6 credit hour requirement for this area by completing additional courses that qualified in one of the other disciplines (Buckets #2-6). A course can only be used to fulfill one requirement and cannot be used to simultaneously meet a requirement in more than one area. Systemwide transfer courses (SWT) designated by a (T►) in the course description in the catalog are given priority.

Students should work with their advisor and transfer institution to select an additional 6 hours of Math, Science, Social Science or Humanities elective or other approved elective. PSY6720 - First Year Experience is highly recommended as an elective for students new to College.
