CRJ5495 - Introduction to Firearms

Description This course is designed for people ranging from inexperienced with firearms to a moderate level of firearm experience. Students will learn basic firearm safety and through this course they will be instructed on the basic operations of pistols, rifles, and shotguns. Through a combination of classroom, simulator and range training students will enhance their level of firearms knowledge and proficiency. This course is open to anyone enrolled at Cowley College.

Prerequisite(s): Due to current State and Federal, laws restricting the access to firearms for people with certain convictions a background check will be required. External background checks conducted within six months of the class start date and presented to the instructor will be accepted.
