HPE6335 - Topics in Education - Officiating Football 1 hour(s) Elective Type: Elective Description The course objectives and outcomes are met through the attendance of a KSHSAA approved Football Officiating Class with a minimum of 16 clock hours. Topics include: the rules of high school football; the legal, financial, and social responsibilities of becoming a high school football official; officiating positions; qualities of the outstanding football official. To receive college credit, workshop attendees must pass a final exam. Attendees will then be eligible to register with KSHSAA and complete the KSHSAA online exam to become an official. Note: Additional meetings over rules and regulations are required by KSHSAA to continue working as an official.
Prerequisite(s): No course Prerequisites. Age Requirement: Individuals must be 18 to be eligible to register with KSHSAA and become an official.
