PROGRAM SEMESTER MAP - Software, Security & Development Degree (AAS)


Technical Requirements for CERT A (27 hours)

SEMESTER PLAN:
Students should work with their advisor to outline 4 or 5 courses each semester to complete at least 27 hours of Technical Requirements within 2-3 semesters in order to receive a Technical Cert A. 

Since course scheduling varies each semester, courses should be selected to follow one of the areas of emphasis focusing on Software Development/Coding; Networking or Cybersecurity.

Students should complete 44 Technical requirements in the area of emphasis desired and work with their advisor to select coursework to fit their individual interest area. 

Java Programming and Introduction to SQL are recommended to be completed as part of the Technical requirements, regardless of the area of emphasis selected.
