Pratt Community College offers their PN and ADN Program classes at the Cowley College Winfield Allied Health Education Center.

Demand for all health care professionals, including licensed practical nurses, is at an all-time high. Career opportunities are nearly unlimited, salaries and benefits are excellent, and you can make a difference in people’s lives every day.

Cowley College and Pratt Community College (PCC) have established a partnership to offer Pratt’s LPN program at Cowley College Allied Health Center in Winfield to meet the health care needs of our community and students.

Cowley College can provide all of the prerequisites required for a nursing degree, while Pratt Community College will provide the technical nursing classes.

Program Requirements (may be taken at Cowley College):

  • Certified Nursing Assistant - (May be taken as a 5 hour course from Cowley; must pass state exam to receive certification.)
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR (offered each summer at the Winfield Allied Health Center) Alternate certification: American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer

Pre-Requisites (may be taken at Cowley College):

  • English Composition I
  • Anatomy & Physiology (taken within the last 5 years; Principles of Biology or Biology Review is apre- requisite for this course)
  • General Psychology
  • Developmental Psychology
