CHM4220 - Chemistry I (T►) 5 hour(s) Elective Type: Laboratory Science (T►) Kansas Regents System Wide Transfer Course: [KRSN CHM1010] Description: An introduction to inorganic chemistry with emphasis on atomic structure, molecular bonding and structure, the periodic table, kinetic theory, changes of state, solutions and concentrations, chemical reactions and oxidation-reduction, and fundamental organic chemistry. This course includes laboratory experimentation.
Course Classification: 3 cr. Lecture/2 cr. Lab Prerequisite(s): CHM4211 - General Chemistry (T►) or high school Chemistry with a grade of “C” or better within the past five years, and successful completion of College Algebra MTH 4420 or MTH 4421 or a Math ACT score of 21 or better within the past five years or concurrent enrollment in MTH4420 - College Algebra (T►) .
