Description: This course is designed to meet the learning objectives/performance objectives specified by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standard 1001. The course is also designed to prepare the student for the Firefighter I certification process. Upon completion of the course, the student will develop competencies to increase understanding and skills in basic fire service operations.

NOTE: Students must earn a “C” or better to receive credit toward a technical degree, certificate, or continuance into pre-requisite or program coursework. Any exception would require department approval.
