Description: This course is designed to meet the learning objectives/performance objectives specified by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standard 1001. The course is also designed to prepare the student for the Firefighter II certification process. Upon completion of the course, the student will develop competencies to increase understanding and skills in basic and advanced fire service operations.

NOTE: Students must earn a “C” or better to receive credit toward a technical degree, certificate, or continuance into pre-requisite or program coursework. Any exception would require department approval.
