Description: Safety precautions and the use, care and history of GMAW and SMAW welding equipment are emphasized in this course. The course is designed to introduce students to the welding of pipe with GMAW, and SMAW equipment. Filler metal selection, and welding processes operating information is also introduced in this course.

NOTE: Students must earn a “C” or better to receive credit toward a technical degree, certificate, or continuance into pre-requisite or program coursework. Any exception would require department approval.
