EMS5691 - Advanced EMT 2 12 hour(s) Elective Type: Technical Description: This is the second course in the Advanced EMT (AEMT) technical curriculum and is comprised of hospital clinical rotations and capstone field internship. The student will develop fundamental depth and breadth in the principles and practice of AEMT-level patient care. Successfully completing this course and the other AEMT curriculum courses will prepare the student for Kansas and NREMT AEMT certification and to function as an AEMT.
NOTE: Students must earn a “C” or better to receive crediit. Any exception would require department approval.
Course Classification: Lecture/Lab Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of EMS5690 - Advanced EMT 1 with a grade of “C” or higher. Criminal background check required and up-to-date current immunizations.
