(AFA) Associate of Fine Arts (Liberal Studies)


The Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) degree is designed to prepare students for transfer into a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree program at a 4-year college or university. This degree program is for students who plan to major in a fine arts discipline in Art, Graphic Design, Music or Theatre to obtain a BFA Degree. Students are responsible for becoming acquainted with the program and degree requirements of the institution to which they expect to transfer and should work with their advisor to select the most appropriate courses.

Complete 6 credits from two different disciplines of Humanities Elective(s)   .

Social Sciences (6 hours)


Complete 6 credits from two different disciplines of Social Science Elective(s)   .

Natural Science Lab (5 credits)


Complete a 5 credit Lab Science Elective(s)    Course.

Fine Arts Pathway Electives (30 hours)


Complete a minimum of 30 credits of electives associated with the selected Fine Arts Pathway in Art, Graphic Design, Music or Theatre.  Students should work with their advisor to determine the most appropriate coursework for their desired pathway of study.
