Chemistry Transfer Pathway (AS)

The Associate of Science transfer pathway in Chemistry enables students to transfer to the four-year school of their choice to continue their education. This degree will enable the student to choose a variety of academic fields ranging from chemistry research, medicine, and forensic science. The basic courses taken at Cowley College will transfer to state colleges and universities, as well as most other schools throughout the nation.

NOTE: Physics requirement varies depending on the transfer institution. It is imperative that students work with their advisor and transfer institution to determine most appropriate courses to complete.

Recommended Transfer Pathway Electives (13 hours minimum)*


The Associate of Science degree requires a minimum of 13-15 hours of pathway electives. Students should work with their advisor and transfer institution to determine the most appropriate courses within this block. 

Minimum Hours for a Degree 62*


*A minimum of 62 hours is required to earn a Cowley degree, however additional credit hours may be outlined on the transfer pathway to meet the program requirements for a 4-year institution. 

Depending on skill level and assessment scores, students may be required to take the necessary basic skill or prerequisite courses prior to enrolling in the program courses.
