Students who are very serious about studying music at Cowley College will definitely be able to enroll in courses that will prepare them for transferring into a four-year institution. Students wanting to major in music must show a passionate desire to play, teach, or be involved with music at some professional level. Students must have significant background from their high school situations in performance, private lessons, and music theory fundamentals and be extremely aware of the commitment and rigors of being in a college music program.

Pathway Transfer Requirements (28 hours)
Minimum Hours for a Degree 62*
*A minimum of 62 hours is required to earn a Cowley Degree, however additional credit hours may be outlined on the transfer pathway to meet the program requirements for a transfer institution.
Depending on skill level and assessment scores, students may be required to take the necessary basic skill or prerequisite courses prior to enrolling in the program courses.
