AGR1217 - Introduction to Horticulture ($) 3 hour(s) Elective Type: Technical ($) Special Funding Identifier: KS Excel in CTE Initiative Schedule Note: Summer Only Description: An introduction to the principles and practices in the development, production and use of horticultural crops (fruits, vegetables, greenhouse, nursery, floral). Includes the classification, structure, growth and development, and environmental influences on horticultural plants: horticultural technology: and an introduction to the horticultural industries. Production and physiological principles involved in growing vegetable and fruit crops will be discussed. Emphasis will be placed on plants suitable for market gardening and farmer’s markets.
