Cowley College quality control nondestructive testing technician program offers you a short training time for a job that is in high demand. You will develop the knowledge and skills you need to perform sophisticated testing techniques that are required in many industries. Upon completion of this program, you will be prepared to develop, maintain, and enforce quality control programs. Prepares students to set up and calibrate equipment, interpret and evaluate results based upon nondestructive testing methods with respect to applicable codes, standards and specifications and prepares a person to be a non-destructive inspection technician and for ASNT certification examination. 

NOTE: Students are expected to demonstrate understanding and mastery of skills needed for career readiness as they progress through program coursework.  A minimum grade of “C” is required on all technical coursework for successful completion of the technical certificate or degree.

Complete the required technical courses listed for the AAS degree.  Vocational certificates at various levels can be earned as you progress through course completion.

*NOTE: Students completing the program online will be required to come onto campus in Arkansas City, Kansas for two weeks for practical testing as determined by instructor.  The practical testing session has a $250 fee associated with it. 

Depending on skill level and assessment scores, students may be required to take the necessary basic skill or prerequisite courses prior to enrolling in the program.
