KANSAS PROMISE SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBLE PROGRAM
The Computer Science articulated pathway with Wichita State University allows students the opportunity to complete two years of specified coursework with Cowley College and transfer seamlessly into one of two Bachelor of Science Degree programs in 1) Computer Science or 2) Computer Engineering.
This pathway lists courses specifically articulated for transfer to Wichita State University through a 2+2 Agreement.

Kansas General Education Core Requirements (35 hours)*
Successfully completing 35 hours of approved coursework in the following designated categories will fulfill the requirements of meeting the Kansas Systemwide General Education Core .
Basic Skills - English, Communications and Math (12 hours)
Complete 6 credits of English, 3 credits of Communications and at least 3 credits of a College-level Math course that’s most appropriate for the degree and transfer pathway.
Natural & Physical Laboratory Sciences (5 hours)
Complete 5 credits of Lab Science from approved Lab Science Elective(s). (BIO, CHM, GEO, PHS).
The following is the required courses for the Articulated program to Wichita State University.
Social & Behavioral Sciences (6 hours)
Complete 6 credits from two different disciplines from approved Social Science Elective(s) . (ANT, CRJ, ECO, GEG, MIN, POL, PSY, SOC).
Verify course transferability per the WSU transfer guide for Social/Behavioral Science courses to fulfill this requirement.
Arts & Humanities (6 hours)
Complete 6 credits from two different disciplines from approved Humanities Elective(s) . (ART, COM, ENG, FOL, HIS, LIT, MUS, PHO, REL, THE) - Studio and Performance courses cannot be included.
Transfer to WSU requires a Fine Arts elective and then further studies in Humanities that does not include Philosophy or the Fine Arts. Verify course transferability with your advisor and WSU.
Additional Institution Core Requirements (6 hours)
To satisfy degree requirements to meet the Kansas system-wide general education core, complete 6 additional credits of approved electives applicable to the transfer pathway in Math, Science, Social Science, Humanities, or other approved transfer elective.
In addition to the recommended transfer electives, PSY6720 - First Year Experience (FYE) is highly recommended as an elective for students enrolled in this pathway.
Pathway Electives (27 hours)*
The Associate of Science degree requires a minimum of 27 hours of Pathway Electives. Students should work with their advisor and transfer institution to determine the most appropriate courses to complete within this block.
The following are the articulated program courses required for the Computer Science & Computer Engineering Pathways for transfer to Wichita State University.
Total Hours 62*
*A total of 60 credit hours is required for the WSU Articulated pathway, with 59 credits transferring to WSU towards the B.S. Degree in Computer Science or the B.S. Degree in Computer Engineering. Cowley College requires a minimum of 62 credit hours of coursework to complete the Associate of Science degree, which allows the student to take additional hours of free electives.
