PROGRAM SEMESTER MAP - Paramedic (AAS) & (CERT C)

BEFORE STARTING THE PROGRAM, the student must have EMT or AEMT certification or be finishing a course that would allow the student to obtain EMT or AEMT certification early in the paramedic program.

The Paramedic Program has a Selective Admissions Process. Students typically start the paramedic technical classes during the second year of school.

NOTE: REGARDING CERT C  - To obtain Paramedic certification in Kansas, an individual must possess a minimum of an associate degree.

The Paramedic Certificate C is designed for students who already possess an associate degree or higher and who wish to complete the Paramedic Program. The Certificate C is comprised of completing the Paramedic I - IV courses and is 48 credit hours in length.

The Program Semester Map provides a suggested sequence of courses associated with a particular program of study to meet degree requirements that is outlined with clickable links to electives and course information.  The map serves as a reference and planning guide for students and advisors. Since course schedule offerings may vary each semester, students should work with their advisor to outline a specific class schedule each enrollment period after publication of the course schedule.

Transfer degree programs are planned to meet the requirements outlined by the Kansas Systemwide General Education Core Framework. To view the program outlined by degree requirements, click on the link to the Program Degree Map.
